Multi-story Office Building

Recommend Product Solution: SRU

Few situations are more terrifying than being trapped in a burning building, which has lost all communications, is rapidly filling with smoke and without any established means for escape.

U.S. buildings need to be equipped with MRUs containing personal protection equipment (PPE). This would include special "smoke hoods" to protect people from deadly fumes. To survive a fire, a person must maintain a clear source of breathable air. A smoke hood is a positive pressure device which keeps toxic gases from entering. It also has a filter design that prevents obstruction from smoke particles, reducing the effects of claustrophobia. Smoke hoods allow a person:

  • 30 to 45 minutes of protection against harmful inhalants and other combustion gases.
  • Unlimited field of vision.
  • Protection from eye irritation caused by smoke.

Fires destroy phone lines. This requires independent communications devices for each floor of a building, to allow emergency communications to a disaster incident commander on the ground. The specific target market is the multi-story office building market which are at least 5 stories in height. Sector 10's small unit provides the needed emergency supplies on a custom basis for each floor of a multi-story building. This creates a multi-unit sale scenario. These include the following customizable items:

  • Power supply
  • Communication system
  • Floor Leader Vests & Bull Horn
  • Smoke hoods for protection from deadly fumes
  • Strobe Light
  • Communications/Emergency Band e
  • Pick/Axe/Crowbar/rope
  • Small supply of food and water
  • First Aid Supplies
  • Leather Gloves
  • Iodide pills to protect Thyroid gland
  • Flashlights

The killing fumes
Most fire deaths are not caused by burns, but by smoke inhalation. Often smoke incapacitates so quickly that people are overcome and can't make it to an otherwise accessible exit. The synthetic materials commonplace in today's homes produce especially dangerous substances. As a fire grows inside a building, it will often consume most of the available oxygen, slowing the burning process. This "incomplete combustion" results in toxic gases.

Value Proposition:

"For the price of a laptop or computer, a company can protect a whole work group with state of the art life saving equipment."
