Humanitarian Relief / World-wide DisastersSector 10's vision spans far beyond the needs of the First World. The scenes of refugees in Afghanistan, Central America, and Africa haunt each of us. The people of these regions suffer immensely in disasters as they have no resources to fall back upon. The Company has a well-developed plan for relieving some of the pain in these Third World countries through the humanitarian deployment of the MRU based technology. ![]() Sector 10's unique product line allows charitable organizations to quickly solve emergency response problems for third world disaster situations. MRUs can be quickly deployed anywhere in the world by air shipment, even ahead of the emergency teams that are also being deployed to the stricken area. Therefore, the units can be set up as portable villages offering safe havens, supply centers and decontamination facilities for victims. This is very similar to disaster response in the United States, although the supplies would be geared to third world situations and the particular needs of the donating organizations. Sector 10 would therefore be a supplier into the world humanitarian supply network. Although the market is relatively small, the impact is very great in terms of product visibility, wide spread distribution, and good will. During the first three years, the company would market primarily into the U.S. based organizations such as corporate and private foundations, church relief agencies, U.S. military, government relief agencies and individual donors. Longer term, specialized MRUs could be developed to address typical third world health issues that are non-disaster related, such as dental and eye care needs. These units would be specially equipped for the medical teams serving these needs on a temporary basis worldwide. Sector 10 also is committing 10% of net earnings to the improvement of medical goodwill globally through the deployment of medical MRU's These units include the following customizable items:
Our Humanitarian Plan was created in part through the personal experiences of Peric Deavila, our founder. Peric has met with representatives of many disaster stricken countries as well as with US based humanitarian relief workers. He has also met with high level US military leaders who face the aftermath of war in developing countries. The Plan places Sector 10 as both a direct donor and as a facilitator for those who seek to make a visible and lasting contribution to a better world. First of all, we will directly donate used equipment to charitable foundations, as these units are recycled from various leasing programs. More significantly, we will help companies, foundations, and individuals design and implement their own programs for donating MRUs worldwide. We will provide free consulting services and generous product discounts to those participants meeting the criteria for humanitarian projects. Looking ahead to the future applications of the MRU concept, there is even more hope for people who have never known even the basics of modern medicine. For example, it will be possible to offer telemedicine services through specialized MRUs, and through other MRU designs equipped as portable dental and ophthalmologic clinics for volunteer medical teams. There might also be special units containing emergency shelter kits and life sustaining supplies for flood or earthquake victims. Imagine the instant goodwill an organization would create by sponsoring the widespread deployment of these units to the neediest areas of the world. The humanitarian goals, policies, and business practices of Sector 10 are inseparable from all others. We believe this forms a unique bond with our stakeholders worldwide. Investors, suppliers, and employees will have an unusually compelling reason to be part of the Company's our bright future. |
